Mission
The mission of the district is to produce graduates with strong moral awareness and ethical values. Additionally, the district seeks to endow their students with the academic skills needed to succeed beyond high school whether in the work force or at an institution of higher learning.

Educators achieve this goal by immersing students in a balanced mix of life experiences courtesy of the Laguna Madre environment. These experiences are coupled with top-notch facilities, opportunities for leadership, and a diverse collection of extra-curricular clubs and programs.

School Board
The School Board of Port Isabel ISD makes it their mission to partner with parents and students in order to provide top-notch educations while maintaining high standards and compassionate learning environments.

School Board members work to establish and preserve the integrity of the district-wide vision, ensure success of students, adopt policies that guide district action, hire a chief-administrator to implement policy changes, and responsibly use the wealth of tax-based resources afforded by the area’s booming tourist industry.

Curriculum
Instructional choices in the district are decided upon by the Office of Curriculum and Instruction, which is a three-fold program meant to guide and support staff members in providing developmental opportunities while adhering to stringent state and federal standards in order to ensure student mastery.

PIISD students are provided rigorous curriculums aligned with state and federal mandates supported by continuous staff development and instructional support. The staff is provided with diverse opportunities to enhance student success while preparing their students for the rigors of local, state, federal, and life testing. This allows students of PIISD to secure their future by working hard in the present to perfect their preparation.
